A HEALING IN tEXAS
I was being happy and one with the world! This feeling is not my normal one. I work as a waitress at the Kettle Restaurant here in my home town. Usually I am a little uptight. I can safely say I am the Queen of uptight. I had a couple come into the no smoking side of the Kettle, they seemed normal at first glance. As I moved to their table for their order, I over heard her tell the gentleman with her about a friend who was having back pain. I apparently did not follow the conversation all that well. I mentioned the trip to my doctor that day with back pain. Now I am a very passive type person and try to get along with everyone even if they seem strange to me. But on this night I had Meds from my doctor. I have never taken these pain meds before. Vidican I think they were, I was literal feeling no pain! The little old lady got up said " turn your back to me" I obliged her not knowing what she had in mind. I do stupid things like that all the time. You ask and I try to please. She ran her hand down my back and kneaded the top of my shoulder. She made a gouge and at the same time pushed herself off with her body. It looked to others as if my body had done the jumping. She and the gentleman with her looked at me expectantly! I thought WHAT! T hen I knew, Honey do you feel anything Not yet I don't I say. Then I realised I didn't feel anything , no pain at all. Why yes says's I. Yes pain is gone and I feel so calm and peaceful. They are smiling and she gives him a look that say's Oh you believe me now! I just healed this woman. Another couple in a back booth came over and held her hand and looked on admiringly. The couple talked with the Healer and her Gentleman friend for some time. As for me I felt on top of the world! I know the Meds! Before the evening is over I am agreeing that I have been healed. I say Thank you Thank you very much. Elvis style no less. When asked I'm nodding my head and demonstrating how she had healed me. Some saying nooo. No way. I of course being one with the universe and the meds was ooh and aw ing . I did get a seven dollar tip from the couple from the back booth. A few more prayers and talk about things at the right time and the right time being Gods Way. Yes I say to all of this. I don't dought it at all. ( I am agnostic for Gods sake) Eventually every one was saying how the healer did not even know about my back. How they were planning to go to I HOP but something lead them here. Now all ten customers all regulars on the smoking side get into the act. I by now am trying to play it down some. This will be a topic for weeks to come. Well I guess it is a miracle of sorts. My back has given me Hell for over a year. I feel relief just by not hurting while I am working be it Meds or God I give thanks any way.
